Dr Ricardo Blaug lives and writes in Devon in the UK. A recovering academic with over forty articles and books on the psychological politics of institutional life, he is also an experienced and qualified Psychiatric Social Worker. He was Associate Professor (Reader) in Democracy and Political Philosophy at the Universities of Leeds and Westminster, where he was an award-winning teacher, and has worked as an emergency psychiatric clinician, mental health service manager and political philosopher in the UK, the US and the Netherlands. He is a volunteer at Refugee Support Devon, does outreach work in asylum hotels and collects information on state and community supports for displaced persons. Additional mobile skills include mending, talking and emergency medicine.
